Marine Mechanic
The Marine Mechanic is responsible for making sure that any vessels coming into our facility function properly. This position focuses on marine inboard engines and transmissions, but may also be tasked with addressing issues with other systems on the vessels, including electrical work, underwater gear, etc.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine mechanic to join our crew at our inboard boat restoration facility in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will specialize in the repair, maintenance, and enhancement of marine mechanical components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose engine and transmission issues in inboard watersports vessels.

Repair engine and transmission issues in inboard watersports vessels.

Perform mechanical maintenance work on inboard watersports vessels.

Winterize engines and transmissions, as well as other components of inboard watersports vessels.

Repair engines that have been submerged.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues.

Diagnose, and repair or replace underwater gear.

Remove and install inboard engines and transmissions in inboard watersports boats.
Other Requirements:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, particularly when handling hazardous materials.

Properly dispose of or recycle materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

Work closely with other team members, including other technicians and supervisors.

Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status, challenges, and needs.

Provide input on process improvements and best practices in boat repair and refinishing.

Help with other vessel restoration tasks as-needed.
Pay Rate: $15 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and quality of work
