This 2000 Sport Nautique came from Orlando, Florida, the home of Nautique Boat Company. It was used there for many years before we acquired it. Follow along here as we complete the restoration.
2000 Sport Nautique - Sea Blue / Silver Cloud
Updated: Oct 26
This boat went home with a great family today. I know they will enjoy it for many years to come!
Today, this boat got another oil change and spark plug replacement. Its new trailer also got some adjustments. The crash pad was moved forward to its correct position for a Sport Nautique. Some manufacturers built trailers that could either support a Ski Nautique OR a Sport Nautique. This is one of those trailers, and it was set up for a Ski Nautique. This picture is before I moved the crash pad, so the boat is sitting about 12" too far back.
Excellent water test today -- better than the one a couple of days ago.

We also replaced the gas shocks on the rear hatch (someone had installed 80-lb shocks instead of the correct 30-lb.). I also noticed that the replacement keypad we had installed didn't have the little Nautique logo decal, so I ordered and installed that too. Oh, and the glove box door got a new gas shock as well.

Got this boat all ready to go for a water test. I fixed one remaining issue with the bilge pump circuit, cleaned up the last remaining wiring under the dash, put the engine box together, and charged the battery. This boat looks so good! Can't wait to test it out this weekend!
