The Restoration Specialist is responsible for every aspect of our inboard watersports boat restorations as they flow through our facility. Silver Cove Marine not only has our own boats that we restore to sell, but we also restore boats for our clients. The restoration Specialist will handle the overall restoration tasks associated with each vessel, and will work closely with other members of our team to complete those restorations in a timely manner, but most importantly, with the highest quality possible.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restoration Specialist to join our crew at our inboard boat restoration facility in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration of inboard watersports vessels, and will take great pride in quality work. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

In conjunction with our other team members, handle all aspects of the restoration of our vessels
Apply knowledge of proper methods for completing inboard boat restoration tasks
Plan for and order necessary parts so that work can be completed.
Use mechanical skills to address any issues found with our vessels.
Water test and diagnose any issues reported or discovered.
Monitor or complete any fiberglass or gelcoat work as-needed.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues.
Diagnose, and repair or replace underwater gear.
Assist with removing and installing inboard engines and transmissions in inboard watersports boats.

Other Requirements:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, particularly when handling hazardous materials.
Properly dispose of or recycle materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
Work closely with other team members, including other technicians and supervisors.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status, challenges, and needs.
Provide input on process improvements and best practices in boat repair and refinishing.
Help with other vessel restoration tasks as-needed.

Pay Rate: $15 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and quality of work
